The birth of Kannada Nadu is a result of sacrifice by several people. Large number of people including Adi Kavi Pampa have contributed for the development of the language which has the history of around 2000 years.
Several litterateurs of muslim community also have worked for the Kannada language, opined Siddaganga Educational Institution teacher Umamahesh.
Speaking at the Kannada Rajyotsava function organised by Barline Muslim Youth association, he said the state is encountered with several problems as administrators don’t have the will and courage. Moreover, morality is disappearing from the society. Politicians are busy in disturbing communal harmony for their personal gains.
At this juncture, Rajyotsava celebration by Muslim youth should become model for others, he added. Speaking on the occasion Bangalore Secret Squad Deputy Superintendent of police T R Krishnamurthy said people belonging to various religions are leading a peaceful life as Tumkur is known for integrity and communal harmony, he added.
Literary contribution
Kannada Rakshana Vedike Vice-President Nayaz Ahmed said the contribution of muslim writers and poets for the development of Kannada language is unforgettable.
Urban Development Authority President Sultan Ahmed said there has been healthy amity between Kannada and Urdu for many years.
