GP secretary flouting rules, Villagers allege
Chintamani, DHNS:

Villagers locked the gram panchayat office alleging that gram panchayat secretary is working in favour of influential people by going against rules.

They alleged that gram panchayat secretary has asked people who have been staying in a government land for the past 15-20 years to vacate the place.  He has allotted the land to rich people by submitting false documents.

Despite giving applications to several officers including taluk panchayat executive officer, no action has been taken in this regard.  Five-family staying in the area have been exploited.

Though the meeting was held with regard to the incident in the presence of village leaders, the secretary hasn’t taken any action in this regard, they alleged. He had assured that the matter will be resolved within 3 days, they added. People had even put the foundation for constructing houses . But, the secretary asked them to vacate the place by showing the false documents. He should cancel the allotment of the land at the earliest, otherwise the protest will be intensified , they said.

Satyanarayana Prasad, Ravi, Sri Rama reddy, Nagaraj, Manjunath, Munivenkatareddy,  and others were present on the occasion.
