Dakshina Kannada Parisarasakthara Okkuta and SEZ Impact Assessment Committee urged the State Environment Pollution Control Board and Deputy Commissioner to postpone the proposed public meet on MSEZ scheduled to be held on November 28 at Bajpe Church auditorium.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, Committee Convenor Kateel Dinesh Pai said MSEZ has published details pertaining to impact of MSEZ on environment in English. In addition, there are some lapses in it.
As per the Administrative Language Act, all the details of the proposed public meet should be in Kannada.
Unfortunately, the report on the evaluation of the MSEZ is in English.

The public meet should be organised after one month of the circulation of the Kannada version of the report, Mr Kateel added.
Members Upendra Hosabettu, Sylvester D’Souza and Renny D’Souza were present  on the occasion.
