Syndicate bank, with a customer base of 19 million, had carried out business worth Rs 1,37,333 crores as on September 30, 2007.
Speaking to media persons in Mangalore on Monday, Bank Deputy General Manager K U Shanbag informed that the bank has had deposit of Rs 84,849 crores and advances of Rs 53,484 crores.
The net profit of the bank as on September 30 is Rs 449 crores, he added. Regarding the Bank’s performance in Mangalore Region, Mr Shanbag said that the total business has been of Rs 2,694 crores with deposit constituting Rs 1,471 crores and advances of Rs 1,223 crores. Assistant General Managers Mohan Kini and Abdul Razak were present at the press meet.
