A two-day State-level workshop on ‘Emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases: Nursing care perspective’ was organised by Yenepoya Nursing College, unit of Islamic Academy of Education, Derlakatta on November 16 and 17. College principal Prof Susan Anand, Yenepoya Medical College principal Dr R N Sujeer, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences principal Lt Col Meera K Pillai addressed the gathering during the inaugural function. Dr Sugandhi Rao of KMC, Manipal Department of Microbiology was the chief guest on November 17. Vice-Principal Prof Christy Mekala was also present. The workshop was well attended by delegates from Dakshina Kannada district.
