Samanvay art festival

The Samanvay art festival will be inaugurated by Guru Usha Datar at 10 am on November 24 at 10 am followed by a colloquium on dance as a career option.

As part of its 26th year of inception, Sri Raja Rajeswari Kala Nikethan is organising Samanvay Art Festival in association with the Academy of Music and Smrithi Nandan from November 24 to 26 at Smrithi Nandan on Palace Road, Bangalore.

The Samanvay art festival will be inaugurated by Guru Usha Datar at 10 am on November 24 at 10 am  followed by a colloquium on dance as a career option. Kuchipudi demonstration by Ardhnareeshwara Dr Venkat will be another attraction of the day. At 6 pm there will be a Bharatanatyam performance by Sneha Bhagawath, Radhika, Ujwa and Shama Sanjay. Kathak recital by Sweekruth B P and Smitha will be other items of the first day.

Lecture Demonstration and Seminar on Perini and Andhra Natyam by Guru Kala Krishna from Hyderabad and another session on Parallels in Oddissi and Kuchipudi by Uday Kumar and Sowmya Shetty, Veena Murthy Vijay and Shama Sanjay will be important items on November 25.

It will be followed by Kuchipudi by Dr. Kalakrishna from Hyderabad and Oddissi recital by Uday Kumar and sowmya Shetty.

Honouring of Gurus Padmini Ravi and Dr Suma Sudhindra of Bangalore will be on the third and final day, which is November 26,  at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall.

The day will begin with the inaugural dance recital by students of SRRKN.

It will be followed by ‘Chitrangada’ a Kuchupudi dance drama choreographed by Guru Veena Murthy Vijay. Kathak by Hari and Chethana; Bharatanatyam by Kiran Subramanyam, Sandhya Kiran, Anuradha Vikranth; Kuchipudi by Dr Ardhanareeswaram Venkat along with another Bharathanatyam by the Thandava Group –Somshekar, Karthik Datar, Ananth Nagaraj, Srinivas– will be the other items of the day.
