In Bangalore, Miditech owns and operates state of the art post-production facilities-edit suites, graphic stations and sound studios and operates in a completely digital environment. It also owns a large number of digital cameras, sound and light equipment and specialised accessories.
Niret Alva, President and Creative Director of Miditech has developed and built major programming brands like Indian Idol, Galli Galli Sim Sim (Sesame Street), Wheels, Living on the Edge and Top Drive.
He has had a long and distinguished career as a reporter, anchor and director with an enduring presence on Indian Television. He started out as a television journalist and later joined his brother Nikhil at Miditech in 1992.
Niret is a world class infotainment presenter having anchored a number of travel, automobile review and lifestyle shows over the years. In 2002 he won an Asian Television Award for best anchor for the automobile review show "Wheels" for BBC World. He's also scripted numerous natural history, adventure and social documentaries for major international networks like National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. The company has already made a mark in the national and international arena with awards such as - The Green Oscar, Asian Television Awards, Indian Telly, The Silver Tree and The Pinnacle.
