Need clean air
We stay by the side of the Kaggadasapura lake at the dead end of the sixth cross, Kaggadasapura, C V Raman Nagar. We have been suffering for the last couple of years with no fresh air to breath and our children falling ill round the year. all because of the lake.
Instead of cleaning the lake, it is being used as a septic tank by the residents of the many apartments that have come up in the last two years. The lake is overflowing and where the outlet is, there is white foam all the time.
The stench is so bad that we have to put tapes on the window panes to make it air-tight. We cannot open any windows or doors. The condition is so bad that we are all planning to leave the flat.
As tax-paying citizens in the highest income tax bracket, we expect to live in clean surroundings.
Would the authorities be kind enough to help us by at least stopping the sewerage dump into the lake and stop the water flow so that the stench is reduced. Our dream of getting the lake cleaned seems far off since people dump waste everyday into the lake. We would like to request the authorities concerned to make this place livable and save the lake.

Fix clean boards
Due to the atmospheric impact and negligence by concerned authorities, BDA boards in Nagarbhavi II stage has become of no use.
The boards do not exhibit the site number and cross number as the paints have vanished. Many of the corporation areas are being displayed with names of the road, cross etc.
It is highly impossible to locate the blocks and cross roads. After the construction of ring road which connects Mysore Road to Tumkur Road, Nagarbhavi II stage has become a rushy area.
So the concerned authorities may take immediate steps to fix the boards to help police in the area.

High-rise buildings
Of late, several high-rise buildings have been coming up in Koramangala 8th block in a narrow 500 square feet site originally allotted to economically backward groups.
Most of these buildings are built haphazardously disrespecting all the rules of building construction of BBMP.
One such building coming up in site no118, 2F Main, 8th block, Koramangala is with an underground cellar of 10 feet deep and a borewell.
This building which has now gone up to its fifth floor poses serious threat to life and property of all the surrounding houses.
Though the matter was brought to the attention of the concerned junior engineer in Koramangala ward office and the assistant executive engineer of Koramangala division through written complaints, no action is taken so far.
