Prashanth Poojar continued his wicket-taking ways as Bangalore City came away with the first-innings honours in their drawn two-day game against Tumkur Zone in the KSCA inter-zonal under-17 cricket tournament.
After making a modest 221 in their first innings, Bangalore City owed it to Poojar as they restricted Tumkur to 189.
Poojar took for four 21, and Tumkur also paid the penalty for not stitching together any meaningful partnerships.
In the second innings, Bangalore City had reached 125 for four when play was called off.

In Bhadravati: Shimoga Zone: 173 all out in 79.1 overs and 107/4 in 32 overs (GV Manoj 47, PL Karthik 27 n.o.; Darshan Ponnappa 2-25) drew Bangalore Zone: 229 all out in 74.5 overs (GS Chiranjeevi 66, Subhas Angadi 62; Rangaswamy 5-60, BR Karthik 3-21).
