Black magic at Shikaripur helipad
DH News Service, Shimoga:
Traces of black magic being performed were found at the Shikaripur helipad on Wednesday.

The incident has attained significance in the wake of charges levelled by former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who said JD(S) leaders were practising black magic.

The point where helicopter is supposed to land has been covered with rangoli drawn from vermillion, mandala sketches, a lemon and a knife. As the premises are smeared with blood, the possibility of animal sacrifice is suspected. The cuffs of a shirt have also been found at the place, and BJP activists say that the shirt belonged to B S Yeddyurappa.

Sadashiva who resides near the helipad said, “On Saturday night, when I was out for a walk, I saw three people seated around a pyre near the helipad.”

B S Yeddyurappa was scheduled to visit Shikaripur on November 20 or 21 to seek blessings of the deity Huchurayaswamy after proving majority in the Assembly. If ‘eye-witnesses’ are to be believed, black magic was performed at the helipad where helicopter carrying B S Yeddyurappa  - who was Chief Minister then - was scheduled to land in a day or two. A complaint has been lodged at the town police station.
