Addressing party workers during a demonstration to condemn the JD(S) in Bangalore, Mr Yeddyurappa said that he would soon meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur and request him to cancel all such approvals granted by the Cabinet headed by Mr Kumaraswamy, in the absence of BJP ministers.
Alleging that Mr Kumaraswamy had given approval to projects in which he had “personal” interests, Mr Yeddyurappa justified some of the schemes announced by him in his budget, which were criticised by Mr Kumaraswamy and JD(S) leaders.
The former chief minister also declared that he would expose the “true colours” of Mr Kumaraswamy. Coming down heavily on JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda for betraying the BJP, Mr Yeddyurappa said the BJP would wipe out the JD(S) from the state. “People will teach a lesson in the next elections to those who have made a mockery of the Constitution by giving assurance before the Governor and the President,” he said.
BJP leaders, burnt the effigy of Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy.
