Briefing reporters Biocon India Ltd Chairman & Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, said on Wednesday, that with focus on innovation, the main conference session at Bio-2008 will attract some of the leading scientists and industry stalwarts who would address frontier research and technologies, partnering and various other contemporary issues.
“This year’s theme is “global partnering”. If we have to move forward, we have to foster partnerships globally. It would enable the industry to take its biggest leap in terms of innovation, marketing strategies and funding growth,” she said.
Other highlights
She said a special format has been put together, which will allow companies to showcase their products on an international platform and help them to connect with each other.
Another feature of the eighth edition will be distribution of BIO Excellence Awards for business excellence, start ups and research and development activities, she added.
