V-Guard to enter capital market

Kerala-based V-Guard Industries Ltd plans to enter capital market with an Initial Public Offer (IPO) of 80 lakh equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium to be decided through a book building process. V-Guard plans to set up cable manufacturing facilities in Uttaranchal and Coimbatore, enameling plant at Coimbatore, development and pilot production plants for water heaters, fans and pumps in Himachal Pradesh and Coimbatore. Its sales in 2006-07 was Rs 222 crore.

Indian expert for Cambodian govt

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, Kingdom of Cambodia, on Wednesday, announced that it has appointed Bahubali J Desai, a Kannadiga and an Indian infrastructure expert as “Advisor International Business Development & Co-operation”.

Mr Desai has over two decades of experience in infrastructure and real estate related projects. His company 3As Infrastructure Enterprises, signed an MoU with the Cambodian Government to develop about 40,220 hectares of land.

Rajesh Exports’  Shubh chain soon

Bangalore-based Rajesh Exports Ltd (REL), on Thursday, announced that it has finalised the launch of its premium retail jewellery chain stores under the brand name of “Shubh Jewellers”. The company is soon launching “Shubh Jewellers” under the unique associate model with leading jewellers across South India.

REL has finalised associate agreements for the launch of 100 “Shubh Jewellers” stores across the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, the company said. “Shubh Jewellers” will offer five thousand exclusively designed 22kts jewellery pieces to the customers with guarantee of purity at the lowest gold prices and making charges, said Rajesh Exports Ltd.

SAP TechEd ’07 in Bangalore

SAP AG announced on Thursday that the India SAP TechEd ’07 conference will open in Bangalore on November 28. SAP TechEd is open to all levels of IT professionals, from entry level to expert SAP developers and enterprise architects, said a company statement. The theme for this year’s event, “Enterprise SOA; put the power to work,” will have attendees focusing on the real-world processes available to them today that can transform their IT infrastructure into enablers of business change and growth.

Xerox’s office software suite

Xerox India, on Thursday, announced in Bangalore the launch of Xerox Office software suite, a new document output and asset management software suite from its Xerox Global Services division. “The suite is a platform that combines the best technology, proven process and infrastructure tools to effectively manage a customer’s output assets,” Xerox said. This new software suite serves as an entry point to understand and analyse an organisation’s document management needs and thus increase the ROI.
