Blind woman needs help
DH News Service, Bangalore:
S Vanitha (22), a blind, has been undergoing treatment for brain haemorrhage and kidney failure at Narayana Hrudayalaya for the last 15 days.

The student of U Rise Vedic Sangeeta Academy at Kalyan Nagar was to report for her first job, when she suddenly fell ill. Vanitha, daughter of a storekeeper in a small firm, is now on the ventilator.

According to the doctors, Vanitha’s  illness is potentially curable. However, the parents had managed to pay the hospital bill Rs 2,82,000 till this day, by taking loans from various sources.

Now they are at the end of their tether and are unable to see her through further treatment. The doctors estimate a further cost of Rs 3 lakh, excluding the discounts and concessions that Narayana Hrudayalaya has agreed to give Vanitha.

The Academy has appealed to the public to offer financial support to Vanitha. Cheques may be drawn favouring S Vanitha or Narayana Hrudayalaya.

For more details call Narayana Hrudayalaya on 7835000 ext 655/670.
