Fight corruption to check moral degradation
DH News Service, Madhugiri:
"Corruption is the ugly face of our society that has begun to value money above everything else," according to the former president of the Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat , Prof M L Narasimhamurthy.

He was speaking after the inauguration of “Awareness about eradicating  corruption,” a programme jointly organised by W L A R S  and Nehru Youth Centre, Tumkur.

Mr Narasimhamurthy. added that it was corruption that was the root of all the problems in the society.
“Accumulating money by hook or crook has become major motive of the society. Corruption is spreading like fire across different sections of the society, taking different forms such as selfishness, nepotism, and misuse of political power. It is leading to moral degradation in the country” he said.

He called upon the youth to  take up a more active role in helping the society to get rid of the problem. The Secretary of W L A R S  Jayalakshmi Venugopal presided over the function. Among the others  who  participated in the programme were T S Krishnachar and Nagendra Kumar.
