DC holds informal meeting
Mlore-Blore train to run in Dec?
DH News Service, Mangalore:

As several organisations are joining hands with the protesters to get the Mangalore-Bagalore train run on track, Deputy Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao on Thursday held an informal discussion with the supporters of P V Mohan of Mangalore Railway Development Action Committee who is presently on a hunger strike demanding for the commencement of the said train.

MLA N Yogish Bhat, V G Pal, Dinesh Hegde Ulepady, Ibrahim and others met DC who said that as per the information available from the centre, the train is likely to start during first week of December. He also suggested the protesters to withdraw the protest.

Addressing this newspaper, Mr Bhat and P V Mohan said that their stand was to withdraw the protest only when the assurance comes in writing. They unanimously consented that the protest would be withdrawn only after the train starts functioning on the said line.
