Presidency face Baldwins in final
Presidency School will lock horns with Baldwin Boys High School in the under-14 final of the Sunfeast ISF Cup inter-school football tournament. In the semifinals on Thursday, Presidency edged out Sacred Heart Boys School 1-0, while Baldwins trounced Indus 3-0. Earlier in the day, Baldwins eased past Brigade School 4-0 in the quarterfinals.
The U-12 final will be between Delhi Public School and New Cambridge. While DPS sneaked past Francis School via the tie-breaker, New Cambridge defeated Cambridge Public School 1-0.
Uday leads MEG Boys’ goal glut
Uday B scored five goals including a hat-trick (17th, 21st, 22nd, 45th, 49th) as MEG Boys drubbed MDHA 10-1 in the State ‘B’ Division hockey tie at the KSHA stadium on Thursday. Micky (2nd, 46th), Bhavandh (56th, 59th) and Sanjay (41st) scored the other goals for the winners, while Nachaiah (37th) scored a consolation goal for the losers.

Navneet stars in SJPUC victory
Navneet scored thrice as SJPUC drubbed Christ College 7-0 in the Dr Isaac memorial hockey tournament on Thursday. The other scorers were Uthappa, Isheeth, Roghan and Ganapathi.
SJMC defeated IISc 3-0, with Ritesh, Madhwa Prasad and Rahul Fernandes being on target. Bopanna, meanwhile, scored a brace as SBMJC eased past AAC 2-0.
ISRO trounce Hoskote SC
Sujith pumped in a hat-trick as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) drubbed Sports Club, Hoskote, 6-0 in the ‘C’ Division football league at the ITI ground on Thursday. After a brace from Satish (6th, 20th), Sujith found the target in the 29th, 39th and 47th minutes while Subramanya completed the rout with a 54th-minute effort.
All-India ranking badminton
The third Canara Bank all-India senior ranking badminton tournament will be held at Karnataka Badminton Association’s K Raheja stadium from December 8 to 12.
Competiton will be held in singles and doubles for men and women. A total prize money of Rs five lakh will be on offer.
State-level open rapid chess
South Kanara District Chess Association will organise a State open rapid chess tournament on December 1 and 2 at Mangalore. The total prize money on offer is Rs 40,000.

National-ranking tennis tourney
Mahila Seva Samaja Tennis Club will conduct the AITA Talent Series National-ranking tennis tournament from December 17-21 and their annual Junior State-ranking tournament from December 10-14.
