Canara Bank Kottara Chowki branch organised a customers’ fortnight programme in the branch office and the inauguration of the same was held on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, City based business entrepreneur Jagadeesh Boloor said that banks must come forth to provide financial help to dedicated youth who have entrepreneurial potential in them.
Sharing his personal experience, he said that his company, Yojaka Marine Private Limited, is a profit making company with over crores of rupees turn over, with clients across the world.
He said that it was a similar proposal that he had submitted to one of the higher officials of Canara Bank when he was about 18 years old, who has then dismissed the proposal without any substantial reason. He said that he was then backed by some other bank, which saw the potential in the proposal.
With this background he said that though he is still associated with Canara Bank, losing a customer in present day scenario can cost dear to any bank as competition in banking sector is growing intense day by day.
Delivering the presidential address Canara Bank Mangalore Circle Deputy General Manager M M Kudva responded to Mr Boloor and said that though such rare instances might have had taken places, otherwise Canara bank has always been customer centric and customer friendly.
Maroor Group of Companies Chairman Maroor Padmanabha Pai and Branch Manager Reese Mathew among others were present.
