Lions Club Mangalore Gandhinagar, Region VIII, will organise Regional meet of Region VIII on Sunday at 3 pm at ‘Lands flavour’ resort at Adyar with a theme of ‘Development and achievements’.

Addressing a news conference on Friday, Regional President Sudhakar Shetty said that the programme will be inaugurated by Ln Bharathi S Shetty while Tejasvini Hospital Managing Director Dr Shantharam Shetty will be the chief guest of the programme and retired physics professor H S Lakshminarayana Bhat will be the guest of honour.

Mr Shetty said that about 500 Lions members are expected to participate in the regional meet. He said that as a part of its services, Lions Club had organised medical camps, sports meet for special children, Kannada Kiru Sahithya Sammelana, workshop on rain water harvesting etc.
