Passengers including the driver have sustained injuries in a collision between a lorry and private bus that took place near Tharati village on Thursday.
The incident occurred when a lorry collided with a private bus which was coming from Tumkur at 9 pm. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Tumkur and are under going treatment. Their condition is said to be stable and there is no reason right now to panic.
In another accident Excise officials Yogish, Kavita and a guard have been seriously injured in a mishap at Ajjihalli.
The incident occurred when a private bus rammed in to the vehicle of Excise Department, Koratagere. Onlookers say that the the bus was speeding and therefore was unable to control itself and ran into the excise office vehicle.
The injured have been admitted to the hospital in Tumkur for further treatment and news is yet to arrive about their condition. There is no word on the driver of the bus. However Inspector Maheshkumar, of Koratagere has registered a complaint. The investigations are on to nab the culprit.
