Faisal stars in Rainbow win
Faisal scored in the 29th, 38th and 56th minutes as Rainbow Hockey Club scored a 5-3 win over Accountant General’s Office Recreation Club in the State ‘B’ Division hockey league at the KSHA stadium on Friday.
Aiyappa (7th) and Karan (26th) scored the other two goals for the winners. For the losing side, Purusha (13th), Milan (34th) and Claudius (42nd) were on target."

SJCC book semifinal berth
St Joseph’s College of Commerce  drubbed Christ College 8-0 to book a place in the semifinals of Dr Issac Abraham inter-college hockey tournament.

Mario led the SJCC charge with three goals while Anish and Purushotham found a brace and Chandra Varma found the target once.

Queen Star down Rangers
Queen Star got the better of Rangers 3-1 in the ‘C’ Division football league at the ITI ground on Friday. The winners struck all the their goals in the first session through Santosh (28th), Allen (29th) and Chandra (42nd). Elwin accounted for the lone strike for Rangers with a 70th-minute effort.

MVIT to meet SBMJCE in finals
M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology clinched a thrilling one-run victory over Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College to enter the finals of the Inter-Engineering T20 cricket tournament.

MVIT will meet hosts SBMJCE, who overcame MVJCE, in the decider.

Garden City walk away with title
David D’Souza and Sagar Muthappa of Garden City Fashion Pvt Ltd took the top honours in the  Christel House Open charity gofl tournament at Karnataka Golf Association on Friday.

The duo finished with a team score of nett 60.75 ahead of Sanjeev Shanmugam and Roopa Pratap of MLC Industries Pvt Ltd, who finished with nett 64.75.

Hinduja Holding Pvt Ltd team comprising M P Paul and Pankaj Malik were third with a score of nett 65.
