This youth division of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India – has expanded the contest from just celebrities to include the cutest vegetarian boy and girl next door.
A vegetarian for all of her 21 years on the earth, Jaya says she can’t bear the idea of eating something “that was probably running around happily in the fields, with a family of its own!”
A budding dentist, who loves to read, Jaya is happiest when she is helping patients and getting people to go vegetarian.

“On average, vegetarians are slimmer and healthier than meat-eaters,” says Youth Project Specialist Puja Joshi, PETA India.
