The reserves had increased by $3.66 billion to $270.18 billion for the week ended November 9.
“The forex reserves with the central bank rose by US$967 million or Rs 4,068 crore during the week ended on Novemebr 16,” RBI’s weekly statistical supplement on foreign exchange issued, on Saturday, stated.
Foreign Currency Assets for the week ended on November 16 stood at $262.901 billion, up by $978 million, RBI said.
Foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms included the effect of appreciation or depreciation of other currencies such as the euro, pound sterling and yen, held in its reserves. During the week, gold reserves remained static at $7.811 billion.
