SBI, SBM, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of India, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and Canara Banks have come forward to offer loans to those interested in applying for regularisation, BBMP Dr S Subramanya told reporters in Bangalore on Saturday.
Dr Subramanya said the hotline service to answer public queries on Sakrama would be increased to three lines and will function on all days including on Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm till December 14.
Moreover, the Palike has made arrangements with the Institution of Engineers and opened a phone line to assist people in filling the application forms for regularisation, he added.
The Palike has sold over 1.5 lakh applications and has received a total of 2,500 applications. The processing of the received application forms will start next week, Dr Subramanya added.
Satellite imaging
When asked about how the Palike would identify properties that are not regularised, the Commissioner said that the Palike is following a system of satellite imaging to number the properties in the city.
The data obtained would be compiled and the Palike would assess the regularised properties and those which need regularisation, the Commissioner stated.
Imaging of seventy per cent of the city area has already been covered under this process, he added.
