2 foreigners held in M'lore
DH News Service, Mangalore:
Police arrested two foreigners who were indulging in cheating people of teaching them the technique of manufacturing counterfeit dollar using an original dollar here on Saturday.


According to police, the arrested are Sherrif (30) and Jonathan (28). Both were the citizens of Ghana. Acting on a tip off, police raided Regal Palace in Rao and Rao Circle and seized two dollars with a face value of 100, three mobiles and Rs 5,000 and black paper used for manufacturing dollar and chemicals.

The duo were duping the people by using black paper to manufacture dollars. People were buying the chemicals and black paper from them. A client who had tried to manufacture dollar at home did not succeed in it. Based on the complaint given by him, police succeeded in arresting the duo.

Pedestrian killed

A pedestrian was killed when a JCB knocked hime down near Wagon yard at Panambur Railway station in Mangalore. According to police, the injured has been identified as Chaudappa (30).

Rash and negligent driving is said to be reason behind the mishap. The driver of JCB has fled the spot. A case has been registered.

Girl missing

A certain Vaishali D S Mani has been missing from Friday. According to police, she had left for  KS Hegde Medical Acadamy at Deralakatte and did not return to home. She was the resident of Babugudde. A case has been registered.
