Famous artist, art critic and litterature C S Krishna Shetty has been chosen for the Upadhyaya award given by the Udupi’s Upadhyaya Mooduballe Kala Pratishtana.
The award is given in recognition of his contributions in the field of literature and paintings. The award will given by former minister V S Acharaya on Sunday November 25 at a function held in Udupi.
Krishna Shetty is a recipient of many awards like the international award given by the American Biographical Society, Rajiv Gandhi National award, Karnataka Rajyotsava award, Karnataka Lalita Kala Academy award, Mysore Dasara award and many more.
Shetty’s works have been displayed at USA, Poland, Philippines and many other international exhibitions. Krishna Shetty is also the member of Film Censor Board, sources said.
