He may not have been flooded with offers for playback singing in the wake of his having been crowned the Indian Idol two years ago, but Abhijeet Sawant has now bagged an offer to play the lead role in 3S Creations’ Lottery, a romantic thriller being directed by the well-known television director Hemant Prabhu. The film was launched on November 15 with the recording of a song at Spectral Harmony.

The music is being composed by Santokh Singh (Channa vey ghar aaja fame), who also makes his debut as a music director in feature films. Abhijeet will sing his own songs along with Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal and others. While the leading lady of the film is yet to be finalised, screenplay is by Hemant Prabhu, dialogue by Aadesh K Arjun and cinematography by Prakash Kutty.
