Stephen's weird life
American author Stephen King says his life is as weird as his books. “I'm in the supermarket one day with my cart, and there's a woman, about 95. She says, “You write those awful horror stories and I don't like that. I like uplifting movies like 'Shawshank Redemption'.” So I said, ‘I wrote that.” And she said, ‘No, you didn't,’” reports IANS from New York
“And that was it. Talk about surreal. I told myself, for a minute, it's not very much like my other stuff. Maybe I didn't write it!”
Karlsruhe beat Hertha
Karlsruhe moved within two points of the Bundesliga leader with a 2-1 comeback victory against Hertha Berlin. Hertha took a 34th-minute lead from Marko Pantelic's seventh strike of the season, a low shot from the edge of the area, which came against the flow of play on Friday night, DPA reports from Karlsruhe.
Karlsruhe bounced back after the break. Tamas Hajnal got the equaliser from short range in the 56th, and Sebastian Freis scored the winner 10 minutes later on a well-executed counter-attack.
Whoopi’s “Life Stinks”
Comic legend Mel Brooks dropped the Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg from the 1991 movie “Life Stinks” because then he would have to kiss her on screen. Brooks was in New York promoting his new play “Young Frankenstein" when he related the Goldberg story, IANS reported quoting pagesix.com.
