Dola becomes world champion
Dola Banerjee became the first Indian to become the grand final winner in the Recurve category in Dubai on Saturday, to be crowned the world champion reports UNI from Kolkata.
In the gold medal match for the Recurve women ladies, Dola defeated Choi Eun Young of South Korea 110-109. In the semifinal, she had defeated Russia’s Natalia Erdyniyeva 108-106.

The Indian Cricket League (ICL) has roped in six former cricketers — including Tony Greig and Dean Jones — as commentators for the rebel Twenty20 tournament starting in Panchkula on November 30, reports PTI from Mumbai.

Uncertainty over Lara continues
Uncertainty continues over participation of West Indian legend Brian Lara in the Indian Cricket League (ICL) Twenty20 tournament beginning on Friday, reports PTI from Panchkula.
“He has left the West Indies and only once he reaches here, we all will know,” ICL’s Executive Board chairman Kapil Dev said.
