Rama did exist, asserts NGO
DH News Service, Bangalore:
A Chennai-based NGO, engaged in research on India's traditions and culture on Saturday, unveiled a multi-media presentation establishing the existence of Rama in a rational and scientific manner.

The historicity of Lord Rama and the existence of Rama Sethu has once again re-surfaced as a Chennai-based NGO, engaged in research on India’s traditions and culture on Saturday, unveiled a multi-media presentation establishing the existence of Rama in a rational and scientific manner.

A presentation on the historicity of Lord Rama was made by the NGO Bharat Gyan at the Art of Living International Centre and showcased how it has developed a holistic and scientific approach to prove Rama’s existence using Valmiki’s Ramayana as a source text.

With pride

“We can say with confidence and pride that Rama existed historically. The most authentic text for Ramayana is Valmiki’s Ramayana and we have collaborated different aspects of Rama’s life as mentioned in the Ramayana with scientific methodologies,”  D K Hari, founder trustee of Bharath Gyan told reporters.

Understanding

Speaking after the presentation, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder Art of Living  said,“Our country needs such scientific understanding of our ancient traditions. We need such unbiased, systematic and scientific understanding.”

The much-disputed Rama Sethu was discussed in detail and its historicity proved through scientific data: from its physical structure, foundation and linear alignment. There were also references from literary texts and published gazettes on the use of bridge.
