Former minister H D Revanna dismissed as false charges that Karnataka had submitted inflated bills under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Project. The allegations were being made by the Centre with jealousy, he claimed.
He said the though the Centre had sanctioned Rs 1,200 crore, only Rs 413 had been released for implementation of the project. The project has been successful in Hassan, Mandya, Mysore and other districts.
