Land auction yields Rs 20 cr  
Breaking a lull in the auctioning of government land, the State Revenue Department on Friday clocked a healthy Rs 19.68 crore by auctioning 10 acres and 27 guntas of land in the Bangalore East Taluk.
Industrialist killed  
A 54-year-old industrialist was found murdered in his office on Friday morning in Kamakshipalya police limits. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra (54), a resident of Nagarbhavi.
Extortion racket busted  
City Crime Branch, Bangalore, recently busted an extortion racket which used to scare Bangaloreans in the name of Karnataka Liberation Front (KLF), on the lines of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).
Cops' tabs on BPO cabs  
BPO cabs, sporting dark tinted glass, will be under the scanner of the city police as the police plan to undertake a drive against them.
