Youth festival held
DH News Service, Bangalore:
The youngsters of the present generation are an inspiring and thought-provoking lot, excelling in all fields.

To encourage the performing and organisational skills among youngsters, Rotary International District 3190 in association with the Rotaract District Council 3190 organised a two-day youth festival called ‘Rotafest-2007’, at St Joseph's College of Commerce on Friday.

Instituted way back in 1994, this fest has been revived again after a gap of some years to foster the qualities of leadership and responsible citizenship among youth.  As many as 25 colleges and some youth organisations had registered for the fest which showcased many literal and cultural activities like rock music, Indian music, fashion show and general quiz contests among others.

According to H Rajendra Rai, Governor of Rotary International District 3190, the fest is aimed at providing a platform for youngsters in the age group of 18-30 years to exhibit their cultural and scholastic talent.

On Saturday the fest is on from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm and is open to all.
