Inter-state car thieves held
Bangalore, DHNS: Hebbal police have nabbed a gang of four inter-state thieves and recovered four cars, one van, and cash- all valued at Rs 43 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Rahil Mujtabh Khaji, (25), Mohammad Naeem (47) and Abdul Hakeem (32), residents of Bhatkal and Irshad Ahmed (39) of Mangalore. They are involved in car theft cases in various districts of the State. They had also stolen cars from Mumbai, Secunderabad and Hyderbad. With their arrest, car theft cases registered with Nelamangala, Mettigehalli in Mysore, Kundapura and Peenya police limits have been solved, the police said.

Movement of vehicles banned
Movement of vehicles from north to south direction on Cunningham Road to Ali Askar Road on Ali Askar Cross has been banned.

But, the movement of vehicles from south to north direction is allowed.

The road used to be congested most of the time after some changes were made on the traffic movement on Cunningham Road, Millers Road and Queen’s Road. Movement of more vehicles created problems for the citizens of the area. Therefore, the changes, according to a press release.
