Kannada Makkala Mane Kendra Samiti, Bangalore has invited applications for the Kala Aparanji Rashtreeya Bala Puraskar award, said State Samiti Vice President N Narendra.

This award is given to children in recognition of their achievements in the field of music, literature, painting, sports, adventure, academics, background music, science etc.

Educational institutions, art schools and  various organisations can suggest the names of the children.The children themselves can apply directly. This award includes a gold medal, certificate and felicitation from senior artists, he added in a press meet on Sunday.

Last date for submitting applications is November 15. Those children selected for the award will be  feted on December 25 at Nayana Sabhangana at ‘Beleyuva Siri’ programme in Bangalore.
