Health department commissioner Basavaraj on Wednesday inspected a 20 acre land on the outskirts of the city in Gopalakrishna tank region to set up 250-bedded hospital.
He said at a meeting held in the DC office that the district administration should sanction the necessary land for a full fledged hospital. The necessary staff and all the surgeons posts will be filled up soon. Health department joint director Dr Prakash, District health officer Dr Anjutagi, chief accounts officer Nandakumar, Dr Palekar, Pandurang and others were present.
