'Farmers need to improve their financials status'
DH News Service, Tiptur:
Small farmers should try to improve their financial condition with the help of Co-operative banks, said Karadi Primary Agriculture Co-operative Bank Founder President, S S Rudraiah.

Speaking after receiving the felicitation at Karadi Primary Agriculture Co-operative Bank annual meet he said  “I started the bank in 1961 by bringing like-minded farmers together. Now, the bank has developed and reached a stage of celebrating Suvarna Mahotsava. This has  become possible as all officers and Directorial Committee members had a mutual understanding. It is very sad that the meeting had to be conducted with police protection following political intervention into the bank activities”, he stated.

Presiding over the meet, Karadi Panchayat President K R Devaraj said “few persons  alleged that I have attacked them when I only questioned  the secretary who misused share money”.  He called on members to work for the betterment of the bank by ignoring their personal hatred.

Co-operative Banks Supervisor T P Umashankar said 100 farmers’ loan has been  waived. He called on Sthree Shakti self help groups to improve their financial condition by taking the loan at the rate of 4%. Bank Administrative Committee President K S Shivamurthy presided over the meet. Gram Panchayat President Rajalakshmi Swamy praised the service of Founder President S S Rudraiah.  Rudraiah was also felicitated on the occasion. Bank Secretary Rajanna presented annual report and said of Rs 64 lakh loan, 60% loan amount has been collected. Directors Shivalingamma, K G Rangaswamy and others are seen.
