He was speaking after inaugurating a programme organised by the District Brahmin Sabha and brahmin welfare fund on Friday to honour the eminent brahmins in the society. The programme was held at the Sri Shankar mutt.
The leader called on the youth from the community to move forward in the same speed as the rest of the young India to compete in the world.
Employment
“Employment opportunities are decreasing in the government sector the face of profitable employment is also fats changing in the current scenario. It is only talent that will propel you further in your choice of vocation and therefore you need to be prepared to take the unbeaten path during your endeavours” was his advice.
He also added that in the next ten years the IT and BT sector will be overtaken by Nanotechnology. He called on the young people to raise to the challenge posed by this technology that has changed the way of human life in unimaginable ways.
Religion
He also expressed his concern over the dwindling state of religious fervour among the younger generation of the community. However he blamed it on the rising levels of stress and not the growing disregard for one traditions and customs.
Balanced approach
He also added that one should maintain a perfect balance between the old and the new and while we protected our culture and tradition we also needed to gear up for the various new inventions that would come our way.
He also promised a donation of Rs 10,000 to the Brahmin welfare fund on the occasion.
