Volley Ball tournament
Tumkur, DHNS: The 2007-08 Department level and State level Volley Ball tournament organised for the students of PUC and Vocational training students will conducted  from November 3 to the 5th. The Deputy Director Ramachandra announced that the tournament will conducted at teh Government PUC College grounds.

The teams which  will be  participate include, Bangalore North, Bangalore South, Bangalore Rural, Kolar, Ramanagar and Chikkaballapur. Also the qualifying teams from the  six divisions will participate on the  5 th  November.

 BSP general body meeting
Gubbi, dhns:  The general body meeting of Tumkur Lok Sabha unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party will held at the Indira  Kalyana Mantap on the 4th of November. “The elections for the new office bearers of the Lok Sabha Samithi will also be conducted” said party state secretary, D M Gangadharaiah.

State Vice president Marasandra Muniappa, State General Secretary K Muniappa, Chikkanna and other are expected to participate in the meet.  Those interested in contesting the forth coming Lok Sabha and Vidhana Sabha elections are asked to attend the  meet.

Office bearers elected
Sira, dhns: A meet of the officer bearers of the District Literacy instructors and deputy instructors’ welfare association was held under the leadership of its president H S Nagendra at Dr Ambedkar Bhavan.

On this occasion the welfare association of the District Literacy instructors and deputy instructors was re shuffled.
Yogananda Magodu was elected as the president, H Lakshmamma was elected as the  vice president, H N  Janaradhan was elected as secretary, Ananda K G  Halli was elected as the general secretary and Gangalakshmamma was elected as the treasurer.

 C G Gangadharaiaha, Secretary of the district literacy instructors and deputy instructors welfare association was  present on the  occasion.
