I am 19 years old and weigh 73 kg. My height is 5’4’’. I am a thyroid patient since the past six years. I want to reduce my weight but don't know how. Please suggest.
A good start on losing weight is picking up a light exercise, preferably something on the lines of walking or swimming. Do 45 minutes in the beginning, this will sensitise your metabolic rate; increase your abilities to burn calories. Simultaneous to this, you should cut down on any kind of fatty food that you are having, from chips, bajjis, bondas, sweets and savouries. Also, try and cut down on your white rice consumption, if you are a rice eater, opt for red rice, only for lunch. Eat raagi chapathis once in the day or opt for raagi malt. In your cup of tea, add one teaspoon of jaggery and not white sugar. Make these three changes and you will see, after 6 months, how much better you feel and look.
I am a 14-year-old girl. I am 45 kg and have a little stomach bulging out. My buttocks are also fat. I am teased as fatty by my friends which is awful. Can you please suggest me some ways to reduce weight?
You are just 14 years of age. This is the age to be active and sprightly. You shouldn't bother about what other children call you, remember that if you keep yourself active, you can beat them at any game, competition etc. Always walk, run if you can for atleast 45 min in the day. If you can add a sport in school, maybe basketball or football, nothing like it. Use your football field, run from goal post to goal post 10 times every day. Make yourself some commitments, for example, if you run 10 rounds of the football field for one week, treat yourself to a new bangle, earring. If you are shy, climb stairs in the house.
