Firecracker blast kills four
Four people were charred to death and one seriously injured on Friday when a tanker carrying firecrackers in the driver's cabin exploded in Maharashtra's Sangli area, IANS reports from Mumbai.

The firecrackers were meant for Diwali and the dead were travelling in the driver's cabin, police said.

Bedi can restart her career
The Supreme Court on Friday granted permission to Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi to restart her film career.
A Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said the actress needs to only inform the police about her film assignments before leaving her native Hoshiyarpur district in Punjab. The apex court granted permission after Monica submitted that the bail condition restraining her from leaving Hoshiyarpur was acting as hindrance to her career.

She has claimed that a number of producers were offering her fresh film assignments .
