Jyoti Randhawa, who shot one-under 70 was tied third, while defending champion Jeev Milkha Singh slipped to tied 35th after the second round of the the Volvo Masters on Friday.
Britain's Justin Rose took control with his three-under-par 68 in the second round which took him to four-under 138 and four strokes ahead of his rival Irenad’s Padraig Harrington.
Harrington shot his second 71 to move into second place. A stroke behind Harrington, Randhawa shares the third place with overnight leader Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland, Dane Soren Kjeldsen and Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez with the quartet tied at one-over 143.
Shiv makes the cut
Two Indians - S S P Chowrasia and Shiv Kapur - made the cut as reigning US Open champion Angel Cabrera fired a sparkling eight-under-par 63 to charge into the second round lead in the Barclays Singapore Open golf, adds Agencies from Singapore. While Chowrasia carded an even-par 71, Kapur shot one-under-par 70 in the second round. Title-holder Australia’s Adam Scott battled into third place.
