Mysore man Lohit V Urs and co-driver Moosa Sherief took the lead in the JK Tyres Prosports TSD Rally on Saturday. The duo led the field in their Maruti Suzuki Baleno with a penalty time of 45 seconds after the first leg, consisting of 10 time controls.
Kiran and Pradeep, in a Maruti Gypsy, were in second place with a total penalty time of 54 seconds after the day’s proceedings which saw the rally run a total distance of 364-kms through Maddur, Mandya, Chamundi Hills and Holenarasipur before halting for the night at Hassan.
The all-lady team of Anitha Kholay and Priya T dropped out due to mechanical problems in their Esteem during the stage between Kengeri and Ramnagaram.
