He was speaking to press persons on Sunday at Humanabad town. He was in town to lay foundation stone for a new bus stand to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.
He defended JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda’s 12-point letter to the BJP by saying that the conditions put by Gowda were for the good of people.
On rumours that he was a possible contender for deputy chief minister’s post, he said that so far he had got all party posts without expecting them. If the party high command found him capable of handling that responsibility, he offered to take it.
