The countdown has begun for commencing the construction work of the much awaited Community Health Centre in the town, which is being undertaken at a cost of Rs 1.60 crore. In the public contact meeting convened by Deputy Commissioner Naveenraj Singh last month, the Communist Party of India leaders had complained about the unnecessary delay in the construction work of the Community Health Centre. The DC had then directed the concerned to complete the works within 11 months and following this, the construction work gained momentum. The work of levelling the ground where Primary Health Centre existed, is almost complete and the construction work of the multi-storeyed health centre will begin soon. A local contractor has taken up the responsibility of the construction work and people expect that the quality standards to be maintained in the works.
