NBO To Help ECAFE Zone

Mysore, Nov. 4.
The activities of the National Building Organisation will assume an international character when, in addition to it’s present national functions, the Organisation may also serve as a Regional Housing Centre for the benefit of the entire hot and dry region of Asia and the Far East, said Mr Anil K Chanda, Union Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Supply.
Sputnik Dog Under Spell Of Radiation

The live dog enclosed in the second Soviet artificial satellite is in a “permanent slute of weightlessness and is undergoing intense cosmic radiation,” Soviet seleutist Kasatkin said on Moscow Radio this morning.

Home Minister’s Plea Ignored
Amritsar, Nov. 4.
The Akali Dal today ignored the Union Home Minister P C Sethi’s appeal to suspend its agitation and announced plans to “stall the Delhi Asiad and gherao Punjab Chief Minister Darbara Singh” to add a new dimension to the three-month-old morcha.
Dal President Harchand Singh Longowal disclosed the details of the new phase of the agitation in an address to a huge gathering outside the Manji Sahib here.
