Queen Elizabeth II has been named one of the world’s most glamorous women by the fashion bible Vogue.
British Vogue’s December issue includes the 81-year- old monarch on its 50-name “Definitive List of Today’s Glamorous Women,” calling her “as glamorous in her brogues and headscarf in Balmoral as she is wearing the crown jewels.”
Queen Elizabeth II favours conservative but often brightly coloured ensembles for her public appearances, accessorised with sensible shoes and handbags.
Can’t fake it
The magazine noted that glamour “is about how you wear something, not about what you wear. You can’t buy glamour, and you can’t fake it.”
Also featuring on the Vogue list are models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer, novelist Zadie Smith, as well as actress Helen Mirren, who played the British monarch in Oscar- winning film, The Queen.
