Cate confirms pregnancy
Australian movie star Cate Blanchett confirmed that she is pregnant with her third child, ending speculation sparked by her fuller figure.
“Yes, yes, we’re expecting a baby in April,” she told reporters at the Sydney premiere of Elizabeth: The Golden Age on Saturday, AFP reports.
Blanchett, 38, and her Australian playwright husband Andrew Upton already have two sons; Dashiel, five, and Roman, three.
The pregnancy is not expected to stop the Oscar-winner from taking up her appointment, with Upton, as joint artistic director of the Sydney Theatre Company in January.
I’m natural, says Nicole
Hollywood siren Nicole Kidman has refuted rumours of having undergone cosmetic surgery and insists that her porcelain skin is all natural, agencies report.
“To be honest, I am completely natural. I wear sunscreen, and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself and am proud to say that,” the actress told Marie Claire magazine.
The closest thing to plastic surgery Kidman has ever gone through is a laser eye treatment as her sight was so bad that she “was walking around legally blind”.
Batman’s stunt shelved
The latest installment of the Batman series will start filming in Hong Kong this month, but has already hit several snags. A scene in which Batman was to drop from a lane into the harbor has been axed after the movie’s producers found that water could pose a risk to health, as AP quoted the South China Morning post report.
