Close on the heels of RJD’s chetawani rally held in Patna on October 28, the LJP has decided to organise Sankalp rally at the same venue — the historic Gandhi Maidan, in the State Capital on November 28. And to make the event successful, the party president and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has decided to seek railway’s approval to run 35 special trains that day.
Notably, Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad had requisitioned 35 special trains to ferry his supporters on October 28. Now, Paswan too wants that 35 special trains should run from the same destinations on November 28.
“We have also requested the railways to run rally-special trains at the same fare as applied in the case of the RJD,” said LJP general secretary Pashupati Kumar Paras.
According to sources, the railways had realised Rs 1.75 crore from the RJD for 35 trains at the rate of Rs 5 lakh per special train with 15 coaches.
