2 more killed by Naxalites
Suspected Naxalites gunned down two villagers including a local BJP leader near Kinkel village in Jharkhand’s Simdega district on Sunday, taking the tally to 24 in a span less than ten days, reports DHNS from Jharkhand.  Confirming the incident Simdega SP Martin Paras Lakra said, “an operation is on to nab the extremists.”
Principal molests student
Andhra Pradesh police has registered a case against principal of a government degree college who allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of his student at Baruwa in Srikakulam district, reports PTI from Srikakulam.  “A case against Wilson Raj, principal of the college, was registered we are searching for him,” police said.
Sri Lanka releases Indian fishermen
All the 97 Indian fishermen, who were detained by Sri Lankan Navy for allegedly straying into the island nation’s waters, were released and handed over to the Coast guard officials on Sunday, PTI reports from Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. The fishermen, hailing from Akkaraipetti and Keechankuppam areas in the district, were reported missing after they ventured into sea on October 31.
Lecturer arrested
Police has arrested the lecturer who, on Friday, had thrown acid on his former student, Kalpana in a fit of rage for her refusal to marry him, reports PTI from Vishakapatnam.
